Life in Italy seems likes a dream, until you start living here. There's a lot of content online about how to move to Italy but not so much about the real aspects of everyday life here. How to navigate the challenges, how to overcome loneliness, how to build connections, how to set your life up and the list goes on. These are all struggles that I faced when I moved here in 2018 and are what have inspired this very community. The Aperitivo Lounge is a space for every stage of the journey, where you get the clarity, support and confidence to actually build a thriving life in Italy, without the traditional negativity so often found in online 'expat' forums. It's where the real conversations about life in Italy can be found, things that are often glossed over but which can really impact your life here. Ultimately it's a place for you to build your connections with others on the same jouney as you.
You’re planning your move and trying to make sense of everything involved.
You're in the middle of it, setting things up and figuring it out as you go along.
You're already here living in Italy but still trying to find your way.
On the surface these stages look different but the feeling is often the same. You want to set your life up properly but you just don't always feel clear on the next steps to take or supported enough to actually do it.
Inside the community, you'll find members at every stage of the journey, all in one place, so instead of feeling like you're on your own, you're learning from people who've already been where you are or are right there beside you. It's a chance to get the answers to the questions you actually have and build the connections that make this whole thing feel a lot more possible.

If you've spent time in online 'expat' communities, you know how quickly advice turns into discouragement. Instead of support, you're met with negativity, especially when you share your plans to move to Italy. The thing is it is possible, you just need to educate yourself.
Italy is notorious for its bureaucracy and so its no wonder that the process of moving to and setting up your life in Italy, feels so overwhelming. There are specific areas you need to focus on and with the right support, you can absolutely navigate this aspect.
You're not in this alone. The Aperitivo Lounge provides you with the resources and community you need, to prepare, plan and build your life in Italy and form connections with others who have the same goal as you. Life in Italy really is better, together!

The supportive, uplifting community that gives you access to:
Downloadable Resources- focusing on different aspects of life here and updated every month to inspire, educate and help you.
Monthly Masterclasses - packed with value, these monthly masterclasses are designed to give you deeper insights into life in Italy, from those who know what they're talking about. Whether it's planning the move or learning from the experiences of guest speakers who have already done it, there's something for everyone.
Live Aperitivo Hour Call - held monthly, this is a great opportunity to connect with members, ask questions and share experiences, over a drink of your choice!
Community Chats - a place to share your wins, talk about your progress, be kept up to date with the latest news in Italy and to feel supported.
What I love about the Aperitivo Lounge is that it’s a small community of like minded people supporting each other with vital information everyone needs at one point or another in their quest to live a beautiful life in Italy. It’s so great to have this group just a message away, and the monthly calls are the icing on top! 🎊
I love that it's an opportunity to talk and share with people working towards the same goal. We can share experiences and I like all the helpful tips and "classes" you give us. Its nice to have a bunch of them at the same place instead of getting lost on the Web. I also like the way you see things! :)
The benefits of this community are twofold: 1) it's a window, from a distance, into daily Italian life (through the members that already lived there and through you, of course); and 2) it's a support group for the rest of us who are slowly working towards the jump.
We've found in The Aperitivo Lounge a wonderful community to connect with like-minded people on their own journey to living a fuller life in Italy. The Classroom and associated tools Claire creates have helped us organize our minds, plans and actions in ways we have struggled to do on our own.
I have found the Aperitivo lounge a very supportive and welcoming community! It’s great to meet like minded people and the resources provided are fantastic to help with making the move to Italy one day!
Hi I'm Claire aka Ms Britaly!I've been living in South Italy for nearly eight years. Through my content, I’ve always shared the real experience of life here both the good parts and the more challenging ones but there's one thing I've always noticed. No matter what stage people are at in their dream of moving to and living in Italy, so many of them have felt the same way in that they feel uncertain, overwhelmed and like they are figuring it all out alone. The Aperitivo Lounge came from that and from my very own struggles here. It's the space I wish had existed when I was finding my own way in Italy back in 2018 and it's where you can get the support, answers and connection that will make a real difference to your experience, whatever stage of the journey you're at.

It’s been an absolute joy to find community through the Aperitivo Lounge as well as a sort of “base camp” for the journey to Italy. Though nobody’s path is exactly the same, enjoying each other’s company, experiences, and insights make the adventure feel much more accessible. Claire’s mission to create a sense of collective empowerment and clear understanding is heartfelt and true. I couldn’t be happier to recommend this subscription!
I'm enjoying this community very much. Everyone is serious about their passion for Italy and realistic about the actual move to Italy and creating a life there. As someone who hasn't yet done it, I'm finding the mix of people in the community able to provide a range of questions and answers. As for Ms. Britaly herself, she is providing a wealth of information, from master classes to news updates, from specific lessons she's learned throughout her time in Italy to a friendly environment to discuss it all.
What makes this community different from the free ones?
There are plenty of free forums online but often with varying levels of attention and value. This community is paid because it's packed with value, from the guest speakers I bring in to deliver masterclasses, to the resources I create and the fact that I'm in the community every single day responding to comments and answering questions. I have plenty of free content available through my YouTube channel and Instagram but this is for those who want to go deeper and really feel supported along the way.Is this community like the normal 'expat' groups?
Absolutely not, at least not like the ones I've been in. This is not the place where dreams get trodden on based on a person's negative experience or where people recommend a service but it's really a paid referral in disguise. Everything that is posted here is genuine and supportive. Don't get me wrong though, that doesn't mean that I'm going to feed you unicorns and rainbows. You'll be educated on the realities in Italy because you need to be, but without the judgement. There's so much negativity in the world, we don't need it here too.How active is the community?
Like with any community, you get out what you put in to it. So far, we've had members meet in person, help each other find homes here and budding friendships have formed and that's only been in a few months! This community will forever be kept intentionally small, so that these connections can form and it doesn't become overwhelming. How do I access the community?
The Aperitivo Lounge is hosted on the Skool platform, which is easy to use with both website and app access. Can I cancel whenever I want?
Of course. I understand that life changes and whilst I’m almost certain you won’t want to, you can cancel at anytime. Your membership will remain active until your next billing date.If I have questions, how can I reach you?
